Services to the United States Forces

The Marshall Islands Red Cross Society works together with the American Red Cross to provide support to members of the US Arm Forces with cases of personal emergency such as illness or death of an immediate family member. We assist in verification and notification to service members of the U.S Military of serious illness or death of an immediate member of the family. Service members are able to come home on emergency leave and be with their loved ones.

To expedite this process, the following information must be available about the service member.

• Full name and rank
• Social Security Number
• Unit I military address
• Death Certificate or Doctor’s Interpretive Statement (DIS) of immediate relative

Note: The Marshall Islands Red Cross Society and American Red Cross does not grant emergency leave upon request. We are only supporting the verification process for the emergency leave.
